Payroll Tax Administrator

Who We Are:
- Minimum two (2) years full payroll processing and one (1) year customer service experience required. Experience in using MasterTax a plus.
- Demonstrated advanced skills using MS Excel (pivots, VLOOKUP, macros, charts, formulas, csv); knowledge/understanding of payroll software similar to; Infinium, HR/Payroll, ICC operations, ADP and MasterTax; must have high level of attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work independently; ability to prioritize and effectively manage daily schedules; great verbal and written communication skills; ability to work beyond normal working hours, weekends and holidays as necessary; must have comprehensive understanding of process documentation, controls and confidentiality; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate ability to interact with all levels of staff, management, agencies, and liaisons.
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Professional Certification
Pay Range: $21.51 - $25.00 Hourly

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Perform large company multi-state, multi-entity payroll tax functions; file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax filings. Perform tasks that establish and maintain employee payroll tax records.
- Perform tax-related activites to maintain compliance with regulation agencies; file tax returns, assist with year-end payroll tax activities, process employee W4s, state withholding and applicable local tax forms. Responsible for verifying file uploads and confirming appropriate payment processing.
- Perform report processing; complete and file statistical reporting and complete wage reporting as required for compliance. Process daily change reports to validate work/resident taxation for new hires, position transfers, and resident address changes.
- Maintain employee payroll tax records and prepare daily tax check payments. Respond to employee inquiries and special requests.
- Process weekly tax adjustments (Daily Cycle/Update Checks).
- Research & respond to tax agency inquiries and tracers as required to minimize penalty/interest exposure.
- Update company annual unemployment insurance tax rates.
- Maintain Power of Attorney forms for both internal and approved 3rd Party vendors.
- Assist with full payroll processing as it relates to taxation requirements; ensure secure logins and calculate/post stock trade transactions (Stock Options) during open trading periods.
- Identify opportunities for process and/or system functionality improvements with the payroll tax area to increase efficiency. Assist with special projects as related to the payroll tax function in order to bring value to the company through streamlining process, automation, etc.
- Uphold a customer service environment, assist with front line customer service representatives with overflow call support/ACD Payroll Helpdesk.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
